We are pleased to extend an invitation to the 2nd World Noncommunicable Disease Congress 2022, jointly organized by the World NCD Federation and the University of Michigan originally scheduled for in-person meeting in 2020 & now set to take place virtually. The conference is being held as a series of Zoom webinars, from June 9th-11th, 2022. All times are in US EST. The theme is: “Prioritizing Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs): Taking Data and Knowledge to Action”.
The primary goal is to highlight the importance of prioritizing upstream prevention leveraging the concept of learning systems, data, and knowledge utilizing a multisectoral approach in tackling the rising global impact of chronic diseases.
There are planned sessions on Learning Systems and Surveillance, Role of Artificial Intelligence and Early Detection/Risk Prediction, Health Inequities in NCDs and role of social prescribing, Metabolic diseases, Nutrition, Childhood Obesity, Mental Health, Sleep, Environment (air pollution, warming climate, occupational settings, sustainable development) and more, with panelists from around the world.
